Hello! I am Laurie Ye, a student at Emory University, exploring the crossroads of Data Science, Information System, and New Media Writing. From my inaugural sketches—which were as challenging as they were unconventional—to my collaborative podcast series produced alongside my teammates Stella and Crystal, every piece mirrors my evolution in critical thinking, communication, and creativity.
One particular endeavor worth mentioning was my exploration into the world of Twine games. Moving away from the mainstream, my team and I crafted games like “Moment of Truth” and “Ensemble,” which resonate with our academic inclinations and showcase our collective inventiveness. Furthermore, my final sketch assignment symbolically juxtaposes various coffee types with my writing journey. The parallels I drew, for instance, between foundational coffee elements and the bedrock of writing, hint at my reflective approach to both life and academia.
